I would advise cleaning it right after you've finished making your juice otherwise the pulp and sugars might harden on the parts you need to clean. This will require more scrubbing or soap if it hardens. If you clean it immediately, it usually washes right off which makes for a quick five minute process. In the end, you get what you pay for. The feed tube is large enough to accommodate an entire medium-size apple, so preparation for juicing rarely involves more than cleaning the fruit or vegetables to be juiced. Breville BJE510XL product only downside for us -- and it's minor -- is the unit's size. We have a tiny kitchen with limited counter and storage space. But the Breville BJE510XL product can quickly be taken apart, broken down into a few major components to fit into available cupboard space when not in use.
